Check It!: Gwen Bunn

I have been on my neo-soul grind lately and came across this gem by the name of Gwen Bunn. Gwen's voice is truly refreshing.  She is incredibly talented and  her lush voice swooned over smooth beats is more than enough to get you listening. Even though she's only 18 she has already been placed in a category with the likes of India Arie, Erykah Badu, and Marsha Ambrosus.  Last year Gwen released The Verdict, which got the blogs talking.  She wrote, produced, and sang a good 90% of the tracks herself so that goes to show just how talented she is.  The entire record is pretty solid but so far my favs are Replaced You, A Baby, and Meet Your Maker.  The  first single off of her next big project Melody Dungeon is Epitome which is slated to release some time this year.  She's been working hard in the studio perfecting the album and I'm definitely looking forward to that.
