I bring to you yet another breathe of fresh air from the Britoscope. Singer-songwriter Sinead Harnett has been singing since the tender age of 8. She has been writing and recording her own songs for the past six years and describes her style as "soulful with a modern twist". There's no denying the passion that runs through these veins because its clearly enough to spark the fire. Sinead got her big break two years ago when recording artist Wiley requested a fresh face to be on his new album and after turning down many suitors it was Sinead who caught his undivided attention. Once Sinead laid down the vocals on Walk Away which was featured on Wiley's 'Chill Out Zone', the rest was history. She then collaborated with electros 'it' band of the current moment, Disclosure, for their song Boiling (definitely one of my favs!) and continued performing at various showcases.
Since then she has performed a few shows here and there but is currently focusing on releasing her own material. Still adjusting to the recognition that is she is currently being delivered, Sinead makes no mistake to identify herself as an individual. Often times when people think of soulful British female artists names that come to mind are usually Adele, Corrine Bailey Rae and Joss Stone -- and while Sinead is more than honored to be considered for such a category, she's determined to find her own niche in the crowd. Take a listen to an acoustic version of her song 'Notice Me' and see for yourself.
