Krystale is a 21 year old Dominican from Montreal Canada with a musical ear and a talent for composition far beyond her years. She's often compared to the likes of Norah Jones, Fiona Apple, and Sarah McLachlan due to her raspy voice, but what really separates her from the rest is her astounding ability to create electronic soul/jazz compositions by fusing genres to compliment her unique voice. Last October she independently released an EP titled Reboot in which three of the four songs, “Eurydice”, “Thumb Wars”, and “Bag of Gold” were written, arranged, and produced by Krystale in her home studio. What inspires her music is her love for jazz -- a taste she acquired while studying in the renowned Vanier College Music program in Montreal. On June 28th she will be releasing her second EP with Montreal beatmaker Kaytradmus. You can listen to their first single Sweet Tooth here. I really like the composition behind "Caught Up" and "Bag Of Gold".
